Do As I Do and Not As I Say

I Know Better Than You

Last night I was watching a show on HGTV called Selling New York.  I had never seen the show before, but I thought it was interesting from the start because it was about selling high end properties in New York city, and by high end I mean places going for millions and millions of dollars.  One property that was up for sale was an 11 THOUSAND foot condo going for something like 12 million dollars or some fantastic amount like that.  It was an enormous condo that was designed for holding very large soirees which was one of the selling points that were being presented.  It had heated wood floors!  How decadent!  It was a beautiful place by all means, and just amazing to see.   It boasted a unique staircase that was designed my some person whose name isn't really important to me so I do not remember it.

Apparently, the current owners of the home were big wig New York city liberals, that have big parties there all the time.  One major selling point was the picture of Obama standing at the foot of the very unique stair case in the home seemingly going to give a speech or something.  I don't know if it was pre or post election, doesn't matter, I'd guess pre as part of campaigning/fundraising.  Anyway, it doesn't matter these people are big time liberals of some importance to get a guest of Obama's caliber to visit their home.

I am not opposed to people having wealth or big houses if they can afford it, but I am opposed to the hypocrisy of the causes that the left supports.  It is the same criticism that Al Gore the jet setting liberal owner of enormous mansions received for lecturing the rest of us nobodies on being green.  Umm, hypocrit much?

I'm sorry, but my 1400 square foot home, that's FOURTEEN HUNDRED, not ELEVEN THOUSAND square feet... takes a heck of a lot less energy to heat and light then one of these 11 thousand feet monstrosities these fancy liberals live in.  So, the next time one of these blowhards wants to whinge on about carbon footprints I'm apt to tell I would be happy to stick my carbon footprint where the sun doesn't shine.
